My Treasures:

My home child-care is a safe, stimulating, warm place to grow, make friends and explore special interests. Because of the smaller size, I can tailor my program more closely to the needs and passions of my small clientele.

Each day, we have learning opportunities in how to get along with others, manners, counting, the alphabet, colors, shapes, enjoyment of books and reasoning ability. I am a Child Nutrition Program participant, cooking and serving healthy and varied food.

As a big fan of fitness and running, I have physical activities and a spacious outdoor area. We enjoy music and movement with the children making special requests for favorite songs and games.

Art is an open ended exploration of various materials and medium. We rarely make "canned" art projects and instead, the children are welcome to try various things with the media and practice manipulations of pencils, crayons, chalk, pastels, the paint brush, scissors and glue. It's fun to use clay, both commercial and homemade recipes.

We have many kinds of blocks and the children are endlessly resourceful in building ideas. Also puzzles and other manipulatives are used in the learning stations.

Through play and hands on experiences, I cover all the basic domains of Language, Social Emotional Development, Physical, Math/Science and Cognitive growth to prepare the children for entering kindergarten.

I'm located in Davidsonville, Maryland; Very close to Crofton; Annapolis, Bowie, Edgewater, Gambrills and Mayo.
